Polypropylene FDY network yarn in early April: Lightweight and strong, offering a new weaving experience!
In early April, the spring season is in full bloom, and all things are bursting with vitality. In the textile industry, Polypropylene FDY network yarn is presenting a new and lightweight, comfortable option for summer and spring fabrics, thanks to its outstanding performance.
Lightweight and high-strength, with solid basic performance
The Polypropylene FDY network yarn is made from polypropylene pellets as the raw material, through full stretching and network interlacing processes. Its density is only 0.91g/cm³, making it the lightest among all common synthetic fibers and capable of floating on the water surface easily. By precisely controlling the stretching ratio and heat setting temperature, the fiber's breaking strength can reach 4.5-6.5cN/dtex, while maintaining a 15%-30% breaking elongation rate, with a soft and non-stiff feel. This lightweight and strong characteristic enables the fabric to be lightweight while still being durable.
Network interconnection, more efficient than traditional twisting
Unlike traditional twisting, network yarns are formed by high-pressure air flow that causes individual strands within the yarn to interweave and entangle with each other, creating regular network nodes. These nodes serve to fix the yarn bundle, giving the yarn excellent cohesion and reducing lint and broken ends. It can meet weaving requirements without the need for twisting, eliminating processes such as twisting and shaping, shortening the production process and reducing costs.
Wicks moisture and keeps dry, comfortable to wear in spring and summer.
Polypropylene hardly absorbs moisture, but it has a remarkable capillary effect - water cannot penetrate the fiber interior, but can rapidly diffuse and evaporate along the micro-grooves on the fiber surface. This property makes the fabric dry and cool immediately upon contact, without feeling stuffy. As the temperature starts to rise in early April, whether it's an athletic T-shirt, an outdoor quick-drying shirt, or a casual shirt, the polypropylene FDY network yarn can provide a refreshing wearing experience.
Good color fastness, durable and wash-resistant
During spinning, color pigments are added to directly produce colored network fibers. The color is uniform and the batches are stable. The dyed fibers are resistant to washing and sun exposure, and do not fade easily, meeting the requirements of daily use. At the same time, polypropylene is resistant to acids and alkalis, and resistant to mold, suitable for long-term use in humid environments.
The weaving process is smooth and the quality is stable.
The surface of the network yarn has few fuzz fibers, and the unwinding tension is uniform. It is suitable for high-speed jet spinning and jet weaving machines. During the weaving process, due to the existence of network nodes, the yarn is less likely to break and lose its fuzz, the downtime is reduced, and the production efficiency is guaranteed.
Choosing polypropylene FDY warp yarn means achieving a lighter and more durable fabric through a simpler process. It is unobtrusive yet weaves a series of refreshing and comfortable fabrics on the spring loom.
